 Held at the  Serpentine Sackler Gallery , London, The  Transformation Marathon  (2015) brings together leading writers, thinkers, artists, musicians, film-makers and scientists explore ideas around change, evolution and metamorphosis over 24 hours. The Marathon explore[s] transgender politics, pharmacology and shifting social attitudes; adaptation and the environment; the transformative potential of micro-politics as well as changes in art, literature and design; and the futurology of cyborgs, bio-engineering and artificial intelligence. In its 10th year, the Marathon also reflects on the transformation of the art institution.   S c e n o g r a p h y :  The design and implementation of the 2015 Transformation Marathon scenography and stage design was by Gabriel .A. Maher. This design translated the ethos of the Marathon under the theme of Transformation. The scenography aimed to contextualise the body within systems of information: media . text . image   S p e a k e r :  As part of this event, Gabriel .A. Maher, in collaboration with design critic  Alice Rawsthorn , design strategist  Hilary Cottam  + designer  Christien Meindertsma  discussed the role of transformation with regards to personal identity.
